American Express Offers $5 Statement Credit for Small Business Saturday

American Express is once again hosting its annual "Small Business Saturday" event, which aims to promote and support small businesses across the United States during the busy holiday shopping season. And this year, Amex cardholders can enjoy a special bonus.
Earn a $5 statement credit
From now until November 25, Amex cardholders can receive a one-time $5 statement credit by using their enrolled eligible card to make a single purchase of $50 or more at any eligible small business in the U.S. Terms and conditions apply.
Find participating businesses
To help cardmembers find applicable places to shop, Amex has created a small business map. This map includes a wide range of businesses, such as restaurants, grocery stores, and even museums. In New York City, for example, cardholders can enjoy discounts at City Acres Market and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
Make a single $50 purchase
To qualify for the $5 statement credit, remember that you must make a single purchase of $50 or more. If you split your $50 into multiple transactions, you will not receive the credit. So, if you're dining out, consider bringing a friend, and if you're shopping, be sure to spend enough to meet the threshold.
