Bank of America credit cardholders, listen up! More Rewards Day is just around the corner, and you won't want to miss out on the extra rewards you can earn.
On November 9, 2023, Bank of America is offering bonus earnings on all purchases made with their credit cards. Yes, you read that right – even cards that don't typically earn rewards will be racking up extra points or miles!
What You Need to Know
During More Rewards Day, which lasts from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET, you'll earn extra rewards on every purchase made with your Bank of America credit card. And the best part? You don't need to enroll or do anything special – the bonus earnings will automatically be applied to your account.
Here's how it works: for up to $2,500 in purchases, you'll earn even more rewards than usual. The exact earning rates will depend on the type of Bank of America card you have.
Example: Alaska Airlines Visa Card
Let's say you have the Alaska Airlines Visa credit card. Normally, you earn 3 miles per dollar spent on eligible Alaska Airlines purchases, 2 miles per dollar spent on gas, EV charging stations, cable, streaming services, and local transit purchases, and 1 mile per dollar spent on everything else.
But on More Rewards Day, you'll earn 5 miles per dollar on eligible Alaska Airlines purchases, 4 miles per dollar on gas, EV charging stations, cable, streaming services, and local transit purchases, and 3 miles per dollar on all other purchases. That's some serious bonus earning potential!
Preferred Rewards Program
If you're part of Bank of America's Preferred Rewards program, you'll still earn your Preferred Rewards bonus on the purchase amount as usual. However, you won't earn the Preferred Rewards bonus on the incremental bonus earnings from More Rewards Day.
Eligibility and Timing
All open and active Bank of America consumer and small-business cards are eligible for More Rewards Day. Just make sure to keep your account open and active until the extra rewards hit your account. It may take up to two billing cycles after the promotion ends for the extra rewards to show up.
