In celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, content creator RwanLink has wowed fans with his impressive animation that transforms the beloved N64 game into a breathtaking Studio Ghibli-style short film. Using Unreal Engine 5, RwanLink spent over 600 hours creating four full environments and over 30 recognizable characters from the game.

From Lon Lon Ranch to Hyrule Castle: A nostalgic journey

RwanLink's animation features iconic characters such as Link, Talon, Malon, Princess Zelda, Impa, and even Ganondorf. Fans can watch the entire animated short film, which includes a short introduction from the creator, and immerse themselves in the nostalgia of the classic game.

But the experience doesn't end there. After the animated short film, viewers can embark on a 3D tour of the meticulously crafted environments RwanLink designed for the video. The castle town, in particular, captures the essence of the Hyrule Castle that gamers spent endless hours exploring back in 1998.

Overwhelming response and unexpected journey

Since uploading the video just 24 hours ago, RwanLink has been blown away by the incredible response it has received. With over 400,000 views and counting, the content creator expressed his gratitude to everyone who watched, liked, commented, and shared the video. The love and positivity from fans have made this unexpected journey all the more rewarding for RwanLink.

Live-action movie adaptation in the works

In an exciting development for Zelda fans, Nintendo recently announced that a live-action movie based on The Legend of Zelda is currently in the works. Directed by Wes Ball (known for his work on the Planet of the Apes franchise) and written by Derek Connolly (of Jurassic World fame), this adaptation is sure to bring the beloved characters and world of Hyrule to life in a whole new way.
