The End of an Era

World of Hyatt members looking to earn or use their points on a luxury cruise with Lindblad Expeditions are out of luck. The two companies have decided to part ways, effective December 31st.

A Luxury Adventure Comes to an End

Lindblad Expeditions, known for its luxurious adventure cruises to destinations like Antarctica, joined forces with Hyatt in 2019. This partnership allowed World of Hyatt members to redeem their points for Lindblad cruises, earn points on paid cruises, and even enjoy exclusive perks. But now, it's all coming to an end.

What About Existing Reservations?

If you already have a reservation with Lindblad Expeditions through Hyatt's website, don't worry. You will still be able to earn World of Hyatt points and qualifying nights on your cruise. Additionally, any points redemptions for Lindblad Expeditions trips made before December 31, 2023, and completed by December 31, 2024, will be honored.

What's Next for Cruise-Seeking Hyatt Members?

Unfortunately, Lindblad Expeditions was one of the few cruise operators with a points link to a hotel program. But fear not, there are still other options for using your points and miles to book a cruise, although they may not be the most optimal choices.

Other Exciting Partnerships with Hyatt

While the end of the partnership with Lindblad Expeditions is disappointing, World of Hyatt members still have other exciting opportunities to take advantage of. One of these is Find Experiences, a program that allows members to trade in their points for unique experiences around the world, such as a Japanese whisky tasting in San Francisco or an open-air jungle safari in Bali.

Another great partnership to explore is with American Airlines. By linking their AAdvantage accounts, World of Hyatt members can earn points on eligible flights. Plus, both companies have offered a special promotion that allows Hyatt Explorists and Globalists to earn American Airlines elite status.

As of now, both Hyatt and Lindblad Expeditions have declined to provide further comment on the end of their partnership. We will keep you updated if there are any new developments.
